Dried Mushrooms
Dried mushrooms are delectably concentrated, last for months, and are easy to store. Some recipes are best made with dried mushrooms, and you can use them in any recipe that calls for cooked fresh mushrooms.
Reconstitute mushrooms in warm water for 15-20 minutes. Then cook them as you would fresh mushrooms. Dried mushrooms have a more intense flavor and are especially well-suited for soups. Or use them together with fresh mushrooms to add flavor variation to your dish.

Dried mushrooms have some distinct advantages over fresh mushrooms. The most obvious advantage is shelf life which as a general rule is six months to a year. Another advantage is versatility for those of us who enjoy the outdoors. What better way to make a mediocre camp dinner into an extraordinary one than to add the wonderful flavor of a gourmet mushroom? In addition, when pressed for time "soup-up" your quick fix meal with these and you'll be glad you did. Speaking of soup, here's where this product shines. Simply re-hydrate in warm water for 5-20 minutes (depending on the mushroom) and add for a much improved soup. For an even faster flavor enhancement to your meal try one of our mushroom powders. Great for gravies too!
How should these long lasting, intensely flavored mushrooms be stored? Follow the same rules that pertain to spices: dry, dark, and cool in a sealed container. Rest assured that we will provide you with the highest quality, best tasting mushrooms available. Enjoy.
