The Petoskey Stone is a coral that lived 350 million years ago, when northern Michigan was covered by sea water. Minerals have replaced the cellular elements of this unique six-sided fossil. The mushroom stone was handcrafted by an artist living in Michigan. Each stone is about 2.5 inches tall and makes a beautiful and interesting paperweight. |
